Mzwandile Ngcobo is an Alternative Investment Specialist at Sanlam Alternative Investments, having joined the business in December 2024. He focuses on investor relations, capital formation and product development across the private markets platform, where he is an integral part of the team responsible for deploying institutional capital into transformative investments across Africa.
Mzwandile brings over 11 years of experience in financial services and investment management, having held roles in client engagement, structured solutions and global markets. Prior to joining Sanlam Investments, he was a Client Fund Manager at STANLIB Asset Management, where he managed institutional relationships with pension funds, development finance institutions, and investment consultants.
His earlier roles include Institutional Solutions Sales at Rand Merchant Bank, where he distributed structured investment products and advised clients on hedging strategies, and Institutional Structured Sales in Global Markets at Standard Bank CIB, focusing on derivatives and fixed income instruments.
Mzwandile holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and an Honours degree in Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg. He also completed the Nexus Leadership Programme at the Gordon Institute of Business Science in 2018.
