Jabulani Ngobese

Portfolio Manager and Analyst

Jabulani joined Prescient Fund Services in June 2015 as a Fund Accountant and in March 2016, he joined Prescient Investment Management as a Trainee Money Market Dealer. He’s currently a Portfolio Manager and Analyst. His core responsibilities include having management and oversight of daily cash clearing across all Prescient Investment Management portfolios ensuring the investment of all liquid assets.

He also assists with developing implementable investment strategies that generate alpha and ensures the successful management of cash and income portfolios by analysing and interpreting global economics, interest-bearing markets, and derivatives and currencies.

He’s been in the industry for almost 9 years, holding positions that included hedge fund accountant at Investment Data Service Group (IDS).

Jabulani holds a BCom in Economics and Finance and a BCom (Honours) in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management, both from the University of Cape Town.

Growing up, he always had an interest in investments and dealing with complex numbers. Apart from spending time with his family and watching soccer, he enjoys reading business/financial news and motivational books.
